Some people have been getting this error when deploying the Social Squared forums to SharePoint that is running on Windows Server 2008 r2. Here is how to fix it:
- Open Component Services.
- Computers -> My Computer -> Distributed Transaction Coordinator -> Local DTC -> Properties.
- Security Tab -> Enable Network DTC Access, Allow Remote Clients, Allow Inbound, Allow Outbound, No Authentication Required.
