SharePoint Fest DC 2019 recap

Another great SharePoint Fest week is in the books!

Lightning Tools had a nice booth position just inside the door to the Expo Hall, where everyone had to walk past us to get their meals. We also handed out our ever-popular Lightning Tools bottle openers and screwdriver sets, and our brand new brochures and stickers. Our Lego Porsche might have also drawn some people to our booth…

Lightning Tools CEO Brett Lonsdale and Technical Evangelist Sandy Ussia were kept busy discussing people’s needs for SharePoint permissions management, SharePoint content rollup and visualization, and discussion forums. It’s always so interesting to hear what organizations are doing with SharePoint, and to be able to help people solve the issues they’re having that our tools can help with.

On 365 Message Center podcastWednesday, Sandy helped host the weekly 365 Message Center Show with Daniel Glenn, streamed live from SharePoint Fest. By the way, this show is a great way to keep up with what’s new in Microsoft 365.

The big prize drawing took place at lunchtime on Friday, where everyone who had all the sponsors initial their box on a passport card was eligible to win prizes donated by the sponsors. Here’s our very happy winner:

The Lightning Tools team did find a little bit of time to do some sightseeing as well…

Thanks to the SharePoint Fest organizers for a well-run and well-attended event in a great location!

Where to next?

On May 21-23 you’ll find us at the SharePoint Conference North America in Las Vegas, where we’re a Silver sponsor. We plan to bring our rally car racing simulator, which is always a big hit!

Then the following week (May 27-29) we’ll cross the pond to the European Collaboration Summit in Wiesbaden, Germany. Not only is Lightning Tools a Gold sponsor of this great community event, but in addition both Brett and Sandy are presenting sessions.

We look forward to seeing you at another event soon!
