Getting Started with the Lightning Conductor

Within this training video, we’ll explore the Lightning Conductor SPFx Client Side Web Part. At the end of the video, you’ll have a good understanding of the Lightning Conductor functionality for rolling up SharePoint Lists, Items through SharePoint Search, and Content from Microsoft Graph. You’ll also understand how to add conditional formatting and styling to the results both within SharePoint Online and Microsoft Teams.

Learn how to get started with the Lightning Conductor for Content Aggregation in SharePoint & Teams

The Lightning Conductor is a content aggregation tool for Microsoft SharePoint, Microsoft Viva Connections, and Microsoft Teams. Using the Lightning Conductor, you can aggregate content from SharePoint Lists & Libraries, Microsoft Graph Entities, and Search. This enables you to build powerful views of content for your organization, such as Document views from OneDrive and Document Libraries, Tasks from lists, To Do, and Planner, and much more.

In these videos, we will explore how to use the Lightning Conductor to view content, configure the Lightning Conductor for content aggregation, and display powerful content in SharePoint or Teams.

Getting Started

Get started with the Lightning Conductor as an end user viewing, sorting, and filtering content, and configuring the Lightning Conductor for the first time. We’ll go through the Quick Configuration to create some great results.

Working with Data Sources

Learn how to aggregate from SharePoint Lists & Libraries using the Object Model or, Microsoft Search, Microsoft Graph Entities such as OneDrive, and Planner, External Content such as Salesforce or JIRA, and M365 Groups.

Creating Views

With the Lightning Conductor, you can display content using the flexible Grid Views, Built in JSON templates or custom views, XSLT, and Adaptive Cards. In this video series, we’ll explore each of them in detail.

Webpart Connections

Using the Lightning Conductor’s Web Part Connections, you can join multiple Lightning Conductor’s together to create Master-Detail or One-Many scenarios. You can also connect to other web part such as the Data Viewer or Lightning Filters. In this series, you’ll learn how.

Installation

Discover how to install and configure the Lightning Conductor within your tenant. This is an ideal video series for SharePoint or Teams Administrators. Once installed, you’ll learn about the different API permissions that are required.

Migration

If you used the Lightning Conductor in SharePoint On-Premises or another SharePoint Online Tenant, here you’ll discover how to migrate the configuration of the Lightning Conductor between those environments.
