SPTechCon Boston 2012
The Lightning Tools team was represented at SPTechCon Boston in July 2012 by Phill Duffy, Product Manager, and Sandy Ussia, Tech Support. We enjoyed the great conversations with SharePoint users and decision-makers in the vendor exhibit hall, as well as during the many networking opportunities provided throughout this well-attended 4-day event. As usual, we raffled off a R/C car on the final day, a Porsche 911 this time, which was won by Blake from Colorado.
Phill presented three intermediate-to-advanced educational sessions during the conference, each of which drew a lot of interest: “Enhancing SharePoint with the Power of jQuery”, “Using External Data Within SharePoint (BCS)”, and “Business Connectivity Services – Beyond the Beginning”. Phill was also one of the experts at the jQuery table during the Meet the Experts event on Sunday night.
There were long lines of people both times that Phill signed copies of the book he co-authored with Penny Coventry and Lightning Tools’ Brett Lonsdale: “Microsoft SharePoint 2010: Business Connectivity Services”.
The buzz at this summer’s SPTechCon was around SharePoint 2013, and we were proud to be able to tell people that Lightning Tools already has an app (our Social Squared forum) available in Microsoft’s SharePoint 2013 beta app store.
Our team looks forward to meeting you at the next SharePoint event… we love hearing from all our current and new customers!
