In Social Squared we collect quite a bit of information about what users do in the forums. The posts they make, number of votes their answers get and so on. By giving each of these things an achievement score we are able to work out an overall reputation and award badges depending on what their reputation score is.
A forum admin is able to configure what reputation levels you want for your forum, and you can choose the images to use for your badges allowing complete customization. Picking fun and interesting badges that make sense for your organization add to the fun of using the forums.
