Social Squared is being completely reimagined as a native Microsoft Teams App, purpose-built for the Teams environment. This new version is being developed specifically using the Teams App development framework, rather than SharePoint Framework (SPFx), to provide a faster, more seamless experience within Microsoft Teams.
We’re thrilled to announce the upcoming Form Pilot extension for Lightning Forms, a groundbreaking feature that harnesses the power of AI to help you generate fully designed SharePoint forms from a simple prompt.
Lightning Tools Forms Studio will soon be available for on-premises environments, including SharePoint Server Subscription Edition (SE). This upcoming enhancement will enable organizations with hybrid or on-prem strategies to leverage modern forms, workflows, and automation—even outside of Microsoft 365.
Lightning Tools Forms Studio is evolving to provide even greater flexibility with your forms through the upcoming enhancement of the Lookup Column. Soon, you’ll be able to connect lookup fields not only to SharePoint lists, but also to external data sources via external connectors.
We’re now expanding this capability with a set of new Microsoft 365 Actions, which will be announced soon. These will significantly extend what your forms and workflows can achieve across Microsoft 365.
A new feature in DeliverPoint will enable administrators to bulk configure settings across multiple SharePoint sites, streamlining how DeliverPoint behaves on each site.
Planned enhancements to OneDrive reporting in DeliverPoint will provide improved visibility into permissions and sharing links across users’ OneDrive accounts. The new reports will make it easier to identify instances of over-sharing, helping organizations to maintain better control over sensitive or externally shared content.
Another upcoming feature in DeliverPoint is Action Comments, which allows users to add explanatory notes when performing permission modifications. When an action such as removing or assigning permissions is carried out, the user can enter a comment to provide context or justification for the change.
A new feature planned for DeliverPoint will introduce the ability to nominate specific users as DeliverPoint Operators. These operators will be able to run permission reports and manage permissions across selected sites using DeliverPoint, without requiring Full Control or access to the content within those sites.
Planned enhancements to the Treeview/Site Report in DeliverPoint will improve performance when navigation and loading, particularly in environments with a large number of sites. Additionally, the enhancements will provide more flexible reporting sorting and filtering options upon a list of sites to be reported upon or managed.

As Microsoft celebrates five decades of innovation, it felt like the perfect time to look back at how Microsoft has helped shape my career and Lightning Tools. From tinkering with BASIC on an Amstrad in the ‘80s to launching Lightning Tools in 2007, Microsoft has played a huge role in shaping my career and our products. So here’s a little reflection on how far we’ve all come
