  • SPFx Apps not working due to Microsoft CDN URL change: UPDATE AVAILABLE

Recently, Microsoft changed the domain of their public CDN (Content Delivery Network) from publiccdn to public-cdn. This change affects all Lightning Tools SPFx apps in SharePoint Online standard tenants, which use the public CDN to retrieve the JavaScript code that makes the app work.

We addressed this upcoming change in the September 2025 release of each of our SPFx apps. The old domain is being completely retired as of late April 2026, so if you have not updated your Lightning Tools apps since September 2025, you will likely be seeing errors or unavailability of your apps now.

Please see Lightning Tools — Impact of Microsoft CDN Changes on Lightning Tools Products for information on updating your Lightning Tools apps.
